China Decides To Impose Tariffs On The US$50 Billion U.S. Imports

Tensions between the United States and China are increasing over trade issues.

On June 16, the Customs Tariff Commission of the State Council issued an announcement regarding the collection of tariffs on imported products originating from the US$50 billion in the United States. The announcement stated that since the US government issued a list of products subject to tariffs on June 15, it will on the 6th of this month, a tariff of 25% will be imposed on about 50 billion U.S. dollars of goods imported from China.

 According to the basic principles of relevant laws and regulations, the Customs Tariff Commission of the State Council has decided to impose on 659 U.S. imported products worth about 50 billion U.S. dollars. 25% of tariffs, including 545 items such as agricultural products, automobiles, and aquatic products, imposed tariffs on July 6, 2018, and imposed tariffs on 114 commodities such as chemicals, medical equipment, and energy products.
